RSS is a non-profit organization that serves as the umbrella for all sports clubs in Rijeka, coordinating sports activities across the region.
Key activities:
- Sports development – support for professional and amateur sports, youth sports programs, and physical activity for all ages.
- Athlete rights protection – ensuring social support and healthcare for athletes.
- Organizing national and international sports events – RSS plays a crucial role in hosting tournaments and championships.
- Building and maintaining sports infrastructure – developing sports facilities of local and regional significance.
- Promoting social inclusion through sports – working with children, youth, and people with disabilities.
RSS is actively involved in numerous EU-funded projects related to healthy living, sports, and volunteering. Some of these include ERASMUS-SPORT projects such as Judo for Peace, SPEED, DART, and many more.
